Reflexión de Ángel Asensio, presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, sobre los retos globales y las oportunidades locales para las empresas madrileñas este 2025.
Madrid, 14 de enero de 2025.- Encaramos 2025 con indicadores que nos hacen tener confianza, pero también prudencia, a la vista de señales que apuntan a incertidumbres en el plano global. Por eso, creo que es importante reflexionar sobre las perspectivas y retos que las empresas madrileñas afrontarán este año, en un contexto marcado por oportunidades prometedoras y desafíos que exigen prudencia y determinación.
Como presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, afronto con optimismo y, a la vez con cautela el inicio de 2025. La Comunidad de Madrid sigue consolidándose como el motor económico de España y nuestro país posee una de las economías más dinámicas de Europa, pero debemos afrontar retos estructurales de mucho calado como la pérdida de competitividad y la baja tasa de empleo. Además, el contexto internacional y los desafíos globales obligan a nuestras empresas a estar preparadas para un entorno de mayor competencia y complejidad.
Madrid, líder económico
Los datos macroeconómicos de 2024 señalan que la Comunidad de Madrid continúa reafirmando su papel como el motor de la economía española, que a su vez está a la vanguardia del crecimiento en Europa En este marco, Madrid ha consolidado su liderazgo como epicentro de la generación de puestos de trabajo y la reducción del desempleo, un logro que refleja la fortaleza de su tejido empresarial y su capacidad de adaptación en tiempos complejos.
El consumo interno y las exportaciones han vuelto a ser pilares esenciales de nuestra actividad económica. La recuperación de los mercados internacionales y el renovado impulso del comercio exterior han demostrado la competitividad de nuestras empresas, que han sabido sacar partido a esta situación tras reinventarse, innovar y diversificarse para aprovechar las nuevas oportunidades.
No obstante, este contexto favorable no debe hacernos bajar la guardia. Factores como las tensiones geopolíticas, el precio de la energía y la inflación tras la eliminación de medidas anticrisis fiscales pueden convertirse en obstáculos si no los gestionamos con visión y planificación.
La inflación y los desafíos energéticos
Si bien la inflación parece, por ahora, controlada, no podemos ignorar las incertidumbres que podrían surgir. Las tensiones geopolíticas, la evolución del precio del petróleo y los cambios en el precio de la energía y los alimentos —especialmente tras la normalización del IVA— son factores que requieren nuestra atención.
Además, el reciente anuncio de Ucrania sobre el cierre del gaseoducto que transporta gas ruso hacia Europa plantea un desafío potencial. Aunque Europa ha logrado asegurar el 95% de sus reservas de gas, garantizando el suministro para este invierno, cualquier incremento en los precios del gas podría presionar sobre la inflación, afectando el consumo privado y, por ende, la creación de empleo.
Desde la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, seguiremos monitoreando de cerca estas circunstancias para ofrecer a las empresas madrileñas las herramientas necesarias para adaptarse a este entorno cambiante.
Retos globales: Europa en un mundo cambiante
El 2025 no es un año cualquiera para la Unión Europea. La vuelta de Donald Trump a la Casa Blanca, el cierre del gaseoducto ruso por parte de Ucrania y las tensiones económicas con China y Rusia dibujan un panorama internacional lleno de desafíos.
La decisión de Ucrania de cerrar el gaseoducto ruso podría generar presiones sobre los precios del gas en Europa, lo que podría impactar la inflación y, en consecuencia, el consumo privado y la creación de empleo. No obstante, la Unión Europea ha demostrado una mayor capacidad de resiliencia, con reservas energéticas al 95% que deberían evitar una crisis como la de 2022.
Por otro lado, la UE se enfrenta a una creciente competencia industrial frente a Estados Unidos y China. El informe Draghi advierte sobre la necesidad de una inversión masiva para cerrar esta brecha y garantizar la competitividad de las empresas europeas. Este escenario, aunque desafiante, también ofrece oportunidades si Madrid y España consiguen atraer más inversión y posicionarse como centros de innovación y desarrollo en sectores clave.
Madrid como faro de estabilidad y crecimiento
En este contexto global incierto, Madrid puede y debe actuar como un faro de estabilidad económica y crecimiento empresarial. Desde la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, estamos comprometidos a ser un aliado estratégico para las empresas, ofreciéndoles apoyo, especialmente en áreas como:
- Internacionalización: seguiremos apoyando a nuestras empresas a diversificar sus mercados y aprovechar las oportunidades derivadas de la globalización, especialmente en sectores donde España tiene ventaja competitiva. Madrid es un referente exportador, y desde la Cámara continuaremos ayudando a las empresas a explorar nuevos mercados y consolidar su presencia global.
- Innovación y digitalización: continuaremos fomentando y ayudando a la adopción de nuevas tecnologías para que las empresas sean más productivas y resilientes en un entorno global cambiante. Seguiremos ofreciendo formación, asesoramiento y recursos para que las pymes y autónomos integren tecnologías digitales que aumenten su competitividad.
- Sostenibilidad: vamos a redoblar esfuerzos para ayudar a las iniciativas que promuevan la transición energética y la eficiencia en el uso de recursos, factores clave para reducir la dependencia de fuentes externas. Ayudaremos a nuestro tejido empresarial a adoptar prácticas sostenibles y a optimizar su consumo energético.
- Formación y empleo: apostaremos por programas de formación orientados a las demandas del mercado laboral y las necesidades de las empresas, promoviendo el talento y facilitando la incorporación de trabajadores a sectores estratégicos. Priorizaremos la formación de talento local y, a la vez, la atracción de talento para cubrir las demandas de los sectores estratégicos, reduciendo así las brechas laborales y fomentando la empleabilidad.
Cautela y confianza
2025 se presenta como un año de grandes posibilidades para las empresas madrileñas. Con una economía sólida, un entorno empresarial dinámico y el respaldo de las administraciones públicas madrileñas, como el Gobierno de la Comunidad de Madrid o el Ayuntamiento de la capital, e instituciones como la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, estamos preparados para superar los retos y aprovechar las oportunidades que se presenten.
2025 será un año para demostrar que Madrid está preparada para afrontar los desafíos globales y convertirlos en oportunidades locales. Como presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, quiero transmitir un mensaje de confianza y compromiso: las empresas madrileñas no estarán solas en este camino.
