La Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU) y la empresa española Gestionet son parte del proyecto europeo GameUp que formará a emprendedores de la UE.

  • El proyecto Erasmus+ GameUp está impulsado por VIU y EDC París, pertenecientes a la red internacional de educación superior Planeta Formación y Universidades, junto a la empresa española Gestionet, la Universidad de Hacettepe en Turquía y la ONG Innomate, de origen turco.
  • GameUp está financiado por la Comisión Europea con 400.000 euros y tiene un carácter innovador y motivacional, al ayudar a los estudiantes a adaptarse al nuevo paradigma tecnológico actual.
  • Con una duración de tres años, el proyecto tiene como objetivo desarrollar una herramienta gamificada de autoevaluación en competencias emprendedoras, mediante juegos online. También, un módulo de aprendizaje online y recomendación, orientado a formar a los estudiantes en aquellas habilidades que necesitan para convertirse en emprendedores.

La Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU) y EDC París, instituciones pertenecientes a la red internacional de educación superior Planeta Formación y Universidades, participan junto a la empresa española Gestionet, la Universidad de Hacettepe (Turquía) y la ONG turca Innomate, en un proyecto Erasmus+ financiado por la Comisión Europea con 400.000 euros. 

Erasmus+ GameUp es un proyecto europeo diseñado para promover la mentalidad emprendedora en las universidades, a través de la gamificación. La iniciativa nace con el fin de que la Unión Europea pueda tener éxito en los mercados mundiales, siendo las instituciones de educación superior quienes tienen que ser capaces de formar a personas independientes, creativas y emprendedoras, con una capacidad de comprensión sobre los retos inter y multidisciplinares.

“Según estudios europeos, menos del 25% de los jóvenes han recibido formación emprendedora durante su etapa educativa. Además, muchos estudiantes universitarios sienten que carecen de competencias clave como la perseverancia o la identificación de oportunidades”, señalan desde la empresa de soluciones digitales y socia del proyecto Gestionet.

El Dr. José Martí, Vicerrector de Investigación y Transferencia de VIU, explica que “este proyecto marca la diferencia, ya que se adopta una metodología gamificada que pretende incrementar la motivación entre el estudiantado y así mejorar sus competencias emprendedoras.” 

Con la iniciativa, se pretende mejorar la empleabilidad de los estudiantes y garantizar que las competencias que se consigan, se ajusten a las habilidades esenciales y las demandas del mercado. El fin último del proyecto es preparar mejor a los estudiantes para el mercado laboral actual y desarrollar las competencias empresariales necesarias.

Gestionet afirma que “GameUp aporta un enfoque innovador al aprendizaje del emprendimiento en Europa. Esta metodología basada en la gamificación tiene el potencial de complementar la educación tradicional, mejorando la preparación de los jóvenes para el mercado laboral y fomentando una mentalidad emprendedora más transversal y accesible en toda Europa”.

La gamificación como eje central del proyecto

El proyecto, que lleva por título GAMEUP: Promoviendo una Mentalidad Emprendedora en Universidades Europeas a través de la Gamificación, utiliza como marco de trabajo el listado de competencias en emprendimiento EntreComp de la Comisión Europea. Esta lista incluye competencias como “desarrollar ideas creativas y con propósito”, “conseguir y gestionar los recursos necesarios” o “tomar decisiones en un entorno de incertidumbre, ambigüedad y riesgo”.

Game Up desarrolla un juego serio (serious game) que permite a los usuarios autoevaluar online, y en tiempo real, estas competencias en emprendimiento para, posteriormente, recibir formación gamificada que mejore esas competencias. “Nuestros estudiantes tendrán a su disposición una herramienta de autodiagnóstico online para ver su nivel de habilidades como la detección de oportunidades de negocio, el liderazgo, el trabajo en equipo o la resiliencia”, explica Jose Martí, Vicerrector de Investigación y Transferencia de VIU.

Esta herramienta también evaluará en qué medida las competencias empresariales de los estudiantes se ajustan a las necesidades de la industria. Para lograrlo, emplea herramientas tecnológicas innovadoras que identifican y destacan los puntos fuertes de los estudiantes, al tiempo que les motivan para mejorar otras áreas en las que requieren una mayor formación y desarrollo. 

“GameUp responderá a sus necesidades formativas con contenidos personalizados, aprendizaje por error, y simulaciones realistas, que permiten adquirir las habilidades que necesitan para emprender de forma práctica y entretenida” destacan desde Gestionet. 

“La gamificación transforma el aprendizaje en una experiencia interactiva y práctica. GameUp pretende integrar elementos de juego en el entorno educativo, con el objetivo de aumentar la motivación y el compromiso de los estudiantes. Además, proporciona un espacio seguro para practicar, donde los estudiantes pueden experimentar y aprender de sus errores” concluye el Vicerrector de VIU.

400.000 euros de financiación y 3 años para finalizar el proyecto

GameUp está financiado por la Comisión Europea, y cuenta con 400.000 euros para el desarrollo del proyecto dentro de un plazo de tres años. 

La Universidad de Hacettepe de Turquía, socia del proyecto, señala que “los proyectos Erasmus+ representan tanto una forma significativa de contribuir a Europa a través del trabajo académico como una valiosa oportunidad de entablar amistad y cooperación internacional.”

Los socios del proyecto son expertos tanto en educación empresarial como en gamificación, lo que favorece a la fluidez de la iniciativa. El proyecto consta de varias etapas de trabajo, de las cuales en primera instancia se analizaron las necesidades de cada uno de los colaboradores que forman parte de GameUp.

Tras ello, el proyecto comenzó a desarrollarse con el diseño de la plataforma sobre la que trabajarán para el desarrollo técnico y del propio contenido para materializar, seguidamente, los dos productos principales del proyecto: una plataforma gamificada de autodiagnóstico de competencias emprendedoras y un curso en abierto de 25 créditos ECTS, para mejorar las carencias de las competencias detectadas con la herramienta.

EDC París, co-coordinador del proyecto y perteneciente a la red internacional de educación superior Planeta Formación y Universidades, se encargó del desarrollo y la evaluación de los contenidos, así como de la gestión general del proyecto, incluyendo el seguimiento de las tareas, el desarrollo de indicadores de calidad, y la coordinación de las reuniones. 

“Dirigimos el diseño didáctico y la gamificación de competencias empresariales clave como «Tomar la iniciativa» y «Visión», y desarrollamos contenidos de curso completos y multimodales para estas competencias, utilizando vídeos, estudios de casos y ejercicios prácticos”, señalan desde EDC París.
