Madrid, 21 de noviembre de 2024. El volumen de opositores en España sigue alcanzando máximos históricos. Y es que el creciente interés por opositar a día de hoy se debe, en gran parte, al aumento sin precedentes en el número de plazas disponibles. Cada año se baten nuevos récords, y 2024 no es una excepción, con más de 40.000 ofertas de empleo público impulsadas por el relevo generacional y los presupuestos estatales.
En este contexto de alta demanda, ADAMS, empresa referente en la preparación de oposiciones, en colaboración con la firma de investigación de mercado More Than Research, ha llevado a cabo un estudio exhaustivo que analiza el perfil y las motivaciones actuales de los aspirantes a la administración pública. Las cifras revelan cómo la búsqueda de estabilidad (43%) y mejores condiciones laborales (34%) está motivando a un número creciente de personas, con un notable predominio de mujeres, a seguir esta carrera en el sector público.
“Además de la estabilidad y las excelentes condiciones laborales que ofrecen estos puestos, la seguridad en el empleo y la posibilidad de conciliación familiar son los principales factores que impulsan a los candidatos a prepararse para una oposición”: añade Gloria Oliveros, Directora de Empleo Público de ADAMS: “Y es que cada vez son más personas las que consideran la administración pública como una opción atractiva por su capacidad para brindar un equilibrio entre la vida laboral y personal, junto con una carrera sólida y segura”.
Radiografía del opositor 2024
El perfil demográfico del opositor en España muestra una participación creciente de mujeres, que representan el 55% de los candidatos, frente al 45% de hombres. En cuanto a la edad, 6 de cada 10 se encuentra en el rango de 25 a 44 años, lo que sugiere que la mayoría son adultos jóvenes y personas en la mitad de su vida laboral, que buscan consolidar su futuro profesional a través de la función pública.
Respecto a su situación laboral, el estudio revela una amplia diversidad. Casi la mitad de los encuestados (45%) proviene del sector privado, lo que implica una proporción significativa de aquellos que emigran desde el empleo privado al público. Por otro lado, un 22% ya es funcionario o empleado público, lo que indica un interés por mejorar su posición dentro de la administración. Además, hay una representación considerable de estudiantes (16%), desempleados (6%), autónomos (5%) e interinos (4%), reflejando una variedad de contextos laborales entre los opositores.
La Administración General es el área más demandada, con 4 de cada 10 opositores enfocándose en este ámbito. Otros sectores destacados incluyen Sanidad (18%), Educación (17%) y los Cuerpos de Seguridad (11%), lo que sugiere una preferencia por la estabilidad en áreas esenciales y con alta demanda en el contexto actual. El tiempo dedicado a la preparación varía, pero destaca que un 33% de los opositores invierte entre cuatro y seis meses en su formación, mientras que un 28% dedica más de nueve meses. Estos datos subrayan el alto nivel de compromiso necesario para superar los procesos selectivos.
La Administración Pública, un amplio abanico de oportunidades
La Administración pública sigue expandiéndose con una oferta variada de plazas que subraya la diversidad y amplitud del sector, consolidándose como una opción viable para profesionales con distintos niveles de formación y especialización. De las plazas convocadas en 2023, más de la mitad se destinaron a personal funcionario, el 28% a personal estatutario, militar y otros cuerpos, y el 18% restante a personal laboral. Esta distribución abarca desde funciones administrativas hasta roles especializados, adaptándose a una amplia gama de necesidades y perfiles.
En términos geográficos, 7 de cada 10 plazas se concentran en el nivel estatal, destacando la alta demanda en instituciones nacionales y la centralización de funciones clave, mientras que el 24% se asigna al ámbito autonómico. En cuanto a los requisitos de titulación, el 36% de las plazas convocadas en 2023 requieren un grado universitario o licenciatura, indicando una fuerte demanda de perfiles altamente cualificados. Al mismo tiempo, 23% de las plazas están destinadas a quienes tienen el bachillerato y otro 23% a quienes poseen el título de graduado en ESO, evidenciando la inclusión de oportunidades para diversos niveles de formación y facilitando el acceso a una gama más amplia de candidatos.
Éxito asegurado con apoyo
En el proceso de preparación de una oposición, el respaldo adecuado es esencial para alcanzar la tan ansiada plaza en el sector público. De hecho, 4 de cada 10 opositores optan por prepararse en centros de formación valorando especialmente la alta tasa de aprobación que ofrecen. Además, más de la mitad de los candidatos combina formación presencial y online, aprovechando la flexibilidad y el acceso a recursos que ofrecen ambos formatos.
La reciente campaña de ADAMS, “Construye tu Camino”, refleja cómo la diversidad de perfiles y trayectorias en el proceso de oposición se manifiesta en las experiencias individuales. A pesar de las diferentes circunstancias y desafíos, todos los participantes coinciden en que el apoyo y la orientación de ADAMS han sido determinantes para superar obstáculos y lograr sus objetivos.
