Madrid, 9 de octubre de 2025.-, Bajo el lema “El lenguaje claro es una necesidad, no una opción”, la Real Academia Nacional de Medicina de España ha acogido la I Jornada sobre la aplicación práctica del Lenguaje claro, organizada por Nuadda Translations, compañía española especializada en gestión de comunicación multilingüe y lenguaje claro.
El encuentro, de carácter divulgativo, ha reunido a especialistas del ámbito jurídico, científico-sanitario e institucional con el objetivo de impulsar una comunicación pertinente, comprensible, transparente y accesible para toda la ciudadanía.
Gerard Pérez Olmo, socio del despacho RocaJunyent; Ana Valverde Mateos, lexicógrafa de la Unidad de Terminología Médica (RANME); y Marta Fernández García, responsable de Ética, Gobernanza y Responsabilidad Social en la Asociación Española de Normalización, UNE, han protagonizado junto con Arancha Caballero, fundadora y CEO de Nuadda Translations y presidenta de ANETI (Asociación
Nacional de Empresas de Traducción e Interpretación), la sesión que ha resultado de
gran interés para todos los asistentes.
El derecho a entender lo que nos afecta
Durante su intervención, Arancha Caballero ha recordado la importancia de que los ciudadanos sean conscientes de que es un derecho entender lo que nos afecta, y que las instituciones tienen la obligación de comunicar de forma clara.
Asimismo, ha señalado que “siete de cada diez españoles firman contratos bancarios sin entender lo que están firmando”, según datos de la Asociación de Usuarios de Bancos, Cajas y Seguros. Ha añadido otros datos interesantes como que “el 31% de los adultos tienen un bajo nivel de comprensión lectora”, el 85% de los textos de la Administración no son claros”.
El lenguaje claro se ha consolidado como una herramienta estratégica para las empresas e instituciones, ya que mejora la comunicación interna y externa, optimiza la transmisión de conocimiento y reduce consultas y reclamaciones. Todo ello aumenta la eficiencia de los servicios y la fidelidad de los usuarios. Además, refuerza la confianza y la reputación corporativa para la organización.
Para la CEO de Nuadda Translations, “el lenguaje claro no solo mejora la comunicación, sino que es un derecho ciudadano y una obligación ética para las instituciones, organizaciones y empresas”.
Equilibrio y rigor en el lenguaje legal
El abogado Gerard Pérez Olmo, socio del despacho RocaJunyent, ha analizado cómo la incorporación del lenguaje claro en la práctica legal representa un derecho fundamental de la ciudadanía: el derecho a comprender plenamente los textos que afectan a sus derechos y obligaciones, tanto en el ámbito público como en el privado.
Pérez Olmo también ha destacado que “el reto está en encontrar el equilibrio entre el rigor jurídico y la comprensión general de la sociedad”, recordando que un lenguaje claro reduce el riesgo de exclusión lingüística, facilita el acceso a la justicia y refuerza la confianza en las instituciones y en el sistema democrático.
El lenguaje claro como herramienta para la salud
Por su parte, Ana Valverde Mateos, lexicógrafa de la Unidad de Terminología Médica de la Real Academia Nacional de Medicina, ha centrado su intervención sobre lenguaje claro en el ámbito médico: “Gracias al lenguaje claro se reduce la ansiedad y la preocupación del paciente, porque entiende las pautas, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento”.
Añadió que “alrededor del 80% de los pacientes siente miedo o vergüenza de repreguntar, lo que les deja con dudas sobre su enfermedad, seguimiento y tratamiento”. En su opinión, implicar al paciente en la comprensión de su enfermedad mejora la autonomía personal y los resultados sanitarios y económicos del sistema de salud.
Normas técnicas para una comunicación comprensible
Desde la perspectiva de la normalización, Marta Fernández García, responsable de Ética, Gobernanza y Responsabilidad Social en la Asociación Española de Normalización (UNE), ha presentado los avances en materia de estandarización con la publicación de la norma UNE-ISO 24495-1, que consolida un marco de referencia internacional para el uso del lenguaje claro en las comunicaciones y la norma ISO 24495-2, que aterriza ese marco de referencia al ámbito jurídico.
También ha presentado otros proyectos en curso. El proyecto ISO 24495-3 que establecerá pautas para la redacción clara en el ámbito de las ciencias; y el proyecto ISO 24495-4, que permitirá a las organizaciones demostrar su compromiso con el lenguaje claro y será certificable.
Las normas técnicas se configuran como una herramienta, de carácter voluntario, que puede ayudar a las organizaciones en los ámbitos sanitario, jurídico e institucional a cumplir con sus obligaciones hacia sus grupos de interés.
La jornada concluyó con un espacio de diálogo en el que los participantes coincidieron en que el lenguaje claro es una herramienta esencial para la inclusión y la confianza institucional.
“Confirmamos nuestro compromiso con el lenguaje claro y seguiremos trabajando para impulsarlo con iniciativas como esta, la primera Jornada práctica sobre la aplicación del lenguaje claro, entre otras”, ha afirmado Arancha Caballero.
