Madrid, 11 de diciembre de 2025 – La compañía Philip Morris ha designado a Virginio Morra como nuevo director financiero para el mercado español con el objetivo de continuar acelerando el futuro sin humo que impulsa la compañía.
Morra cuenta con una amplia experiencia en gestión financiera y planificación estratégica en entornos internacionales, iniciando su carrera profesional en el área de consultoría en Bain & Co en Italia, su país natal. En 2019 se unió al área de estrategia, fusiones y adquisiciones de Philip Morris International, trabajando desde la sede internacional de la compañía en Suiza. Tras dos años impulsando la estrategia del negocio sin humo de la compañía a nivel mundial, Morra se trasladó a Nueva York para formar parte del equipo responsable del desarrollo del negocio en el mercado estadounidense, equipo que ha liderado durante los últimos años como director de estrategia. Durante todo este tiempo, Morra ha demostrada un sólido compromiso y un gran conocimiento del sector y de los modelos de negocios de la compañía en los diferentes mercados.
Como nuevo director de Finanzas de España, Morra será el responsable de administrar y optimizar los recursos para garantizar el impulso de las nuevas categorías de productos sin humo. Su amplia experiencia internacional y su gran conocimiento de las necesidades y retos específicos de los distintos mercados serán un valioso activo para acelerar el cambio de los fumadores adultos a las alternativas al cigarrillo.
Morra es Licenciado en Ingeniería Logística y de Producción por la Universidad de Turín y cuenta con un máster en Ingeniería Administrativa por la misma institución.
