Con este premio, el COE reconoce la contribución de South Summit al Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible número 9, centrado en impulsar el progreso económico a través de la innovación, el desarrollo tecnológico y la creación de infraestructuras más resilientes, por promover el emprendimiento y la innovación como motores de un futuro más sostenible. Este reconocimiento refuerza el compromiso de South Summit con la sostenibilidad, presente en iniciativas como el track Climate Tech & Sustainability, protagonista en el programa de la última edición de South Summit.
Madrid, la reutilización de materiales de ediciones anteriores y acciones como el Green Corner, en el

La ceremonia de entrega del Premio se ha celebrado en el contexto del V Sport Sustainability Summit, organizado conjuntamente por el COE y el Consejo Superior de Deportes durante los días 5
y 6 de noviembre en la sede del Comité Olímpico Español. Su presidente, Alejandro Blanco, ha
otorgado en persona este galardón a María Benjumea.
