Barcelona, 9 de julio de 2025.- La llegada del verano supone cambios en las rutinas de numerosas empresas. Empleados de vacaciones, horarios reducidos o concentrados en las horas de la mañana, incremento del teletrabajo para facilitar la conciliación de los trabajadores con hijos… Si a ello se le suman factores como el cansancio acumulado del año, el nerviosismo por la proximidad del descanso estival o unos ritmos de trabajo alterados por plantillas reducidas y las prisas por cerrar la temporada sin asuntos pendientes, es relativamente fácil que la productividad se resienta.

Para evitarlo, es importante que las empresas adopten medidas preventivas que garanticen que el rendimiento se mantenga en unos niveles aceptables durante julio y agosto. “Los meses de verano encierran una trampa. Aunque sobre el papel la actividad ordinaria desciende –salvo, obviamente, en el sector turístico–, en realidad esas caídas moderadas se compensan con creces por el desconcierto de tener a personas asumiendo las tareas de compañeros ausentes por vacaciones. Además, se suma el apremio por rematar los temas que han quedado inacabados durante la temporada y que no se quieren posponer hasta septiembre. De repente, hay urgencias, falta de información y directrices y trabajo a contrarreloj para una plantilla diezmada. Esto produce estrés, acumulación de trabajo y malestar por lo que los empleados perciben –muchas veces, con razón– como una absoluta falta de planificación”, señala Joan Pons, CEO de WorkMeter.

WorkMeter, la empresa especializada en soluciones digitales de control de tiempo, registro de jornada y medición de productividad ha reunido algunas recomendaciones para que empresas y profesionales puedan afrontar este periodo sin agobios y manteniendo intacto su rendimiento.

6 estrategias para mantener la productividad en verano

Planifica con tiempo. Pero no cuando ya tenemos el problema encima, porque eso no es planificar, es apagar fuegos. La distribución de cargas de trabajo, el reparto de tareas y las fechas de cierre de proyectos deben estar claras desde mucho antes, ya que es la mejor manera de evitar sobresaltos cuando apriete el calor.

Objetivos adaptados. Marcarse objetivos claros y, sobre todo, realistas, es fundamental para transitar por los meses de verano sin que la productividad y la motivación del equipo se desplomen. Cada persona necesita saber lo que se espera de ella, cuánto tiempo dispone para completar ese trabajo y con qué recursos cuenta para realizarlo.

Comunicación fluida. Si la comunicación entre los miembros del equipo siempre es importante, lo es aún más durante el verano, con muchos empleados disfrutando de su descanso vacacional o trabajando desde sus residencias veraniegas. La comunicación es especialmente importante en los casos en los que los trabajadores deben asumir temporalmente las tareas de sus compañeros ausentes. El traspaso de funciones ha de producirse con antelación, dejando espacio para resolver dudas y, si es posible, instrucciones por escrito donde queden claros los procedimientos a seguir.

Horarios flexibles. Las altas temperaturas trastocan los biorritmos, el descanso, el humor y los niveles de energía de los trabajadores. Por si fuera poco, las vacaciones escolares hacen más necesaria que nunca la conciliación. Unos horarios flexibles y sistemas de medición del desempeño basados en objetivos ayudan a que el profesional pueda reorganizar su vida familiar y personal sin que se resienta su rendimiento.

Desconexión digital. En esa reorganización no puede faltar espacio para un adecuado descanso. La desconexión digital no solo es un derecho reconocido por ley, sino que resulta esencial para proteger la salud, tanto física como mental del trabajador, lo que tiene efectos palpables en su rendimiento y nivel de satisfacción.

Mediciones. Todas las estrategias anteriores pasan por una cultura de medición. Herramientas de medición de productividad, control horario o gestión de proyectos,como las de WorkMeter, son más necesarias que nunca.
