 SAASA, empresa del grupo español Andino Global, ha sido distinguida por la revista Ground Support Worldwide como “Service Leader of the Year 2025”, posicionándose así como líder en servicios de asistencia en tierra y consolidando su estrategia de expansión global. 

En un artículo titulado “SAASA Charts a Course for Excellence in Airport Services” en su último número, la publicación especializada destaca el papel transformador de SAASA, filial de Andino Global, en el ámbito de la logística aeroportuaria, subrayando su crecimiento sostenido, su cultura de seguridad y su orientación hacia alianzas estratégicas con aerolíneas internacionales.

La publicación destaca tres fortalezas de SAASA: servicios personalizados desde el primer contacto, soluciones a medida para cada cliente y actuar según la retroalimentación de sus usuarios. De hecho, el 95% de las sugerencias recibidas por agentes de aduana y operadores se han incorporado a sus medidas.

“Para nosotros es un orgullo que una publicación tan prestigiosa nos tenga en sus miras. Esto refuerza nuestro compromiso con la excelencia y reconoce la labor de nuestros trabajadores”, ha señalado Enrique Vargas, director general de SAASA Global.

También fueron premiados por la publicación Mallaghan Group Equipment y la directora General de Bassco Equipment, Amanda Walker.

Otro factor decisivo en la obtención de este reconocimiento han sido las certificaciones IATA CEIV, ISAGO y SFOC, que acreditan el cumplimiento de los mayores estándares de excelencia dentro del sector a nivel internacional. Sobre este punto, Enrique Vargas ha explicado que la obtención de estas certificaciones es “una herramienta valiosa para alcanzar nuestro objetivo de diferenciación a través de la excelencia y prepararnos para jugar en las grandes ligas”. La compañía también ha iniciado una migración progresiva de su flota de equipos de asistencia en tierra hacia vehículos híbridos y eléctricos, en colaboración con operadores aeroportuarios, reafirmando su compromiso con la sostenibilidad, la eficiencia operativa y los principios ESG.

Crecimiento en España

SAASA se encuentra en pleno desarrollo de una nueva terminal de carga aérea en el Aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, consolidando así su presencia en el mercado europeo. La infraestructura, ubicada en la rampa 4 del aeropuerto, responde a la concesión otorgada por Aena en 2024 para operaciones de handling, almacenamiento, transporte y distribución de mercancías. La terminal de carga ocupará 6.100 metros cuadrados dentro de una parcela de 14.000 metros cuadrados y estará equipada con: capacidad de transferencia de más de 80 millones de kilogramos anuales, 1.200 metros cuadrados de instalaciones de clima controlado para carga perecedera y un centro de Inspección Fronteriza para el control de mercancías de entrada a la UE.

Junto a este nuevo proyecto en España, otro de los principales activos de SAASA es su moderno centro logístico en el aeropuerto Jorge Chávez de Lima, que abarca más de 7.000 m² dedicados a carga de multitud de productos como farmacéuticos, aviación general y animales vivos. Actualmente, la empresa gestiona más de 10.000 m² de almacenes en distintos países y presta servicios a aerolíneas como Iberia, Air Europa, Air France, KLM, British Airways y Qatar Airways, entre otras.

Con operaciones en seis países y presencia en los principales espacios aéreos de América Latina, así como su reciente entrada en España, SAASA se consolida como uno de los actores más dinámicos del sector, llevando el sello de calidad del Andino Global más allá de sus fronteras de origen.
