South Summit Brazil el encuentro líder del ecosistema emprendedor e innovador en Latinoamérica co-organizado por IE University y el Gobierno de Río Grande do Sul, inauguró ayer miércoles 9 de abril su cuarta edición en la ciudad de Porto Alegre. South Summit Brazil 2025 reunirá hasta mañana viernes 11 a los principales protagonistas del ecosistema emprendedor mundial en Porto Alegre, que con esta nueva edición consolida su posición como capital de la innovación y el emprendimiento en América Latina.
De esta forma María Benjumea, CEO de South Summit, recalcó en el acto de inauguración que “Este año hemos vivido una transformación, una demostración de resiliencia en Rio Grande do Sul y Porto Alegre. Hace 10 meses en nuestro querido Cais el agua llegaba a los 2 metros, hoy nos recibe más espectacular que nunca. El lema de South Summit Brazil 2025: Beyond Resilience, representa cómo nos recuperamos y fortalecemos tras la adversidad. Una transformación increíble y el mejor ejemplo de que todos juntos, y siempre con la innovación y el emprendimiento como grandes aliados, nos superamos. En el acto de bienvenida también participó José Renato Hopf, presidente de South Summit Brazil, que expresó que esta nueva edición “es una gran oportunidad para establecer conexiones y hacer negocios”. Por su parte Juan José Güemes, Vicepresidente Económico de IE University y Presidente del IE Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, quien destacó que “South Summit Brazil es el ejemplo perfecto del compromiso emprendedor entre España y Brasil, el reflejo de lo que ambos países pueden lograr y mostrar al mundo”.
Eduardo Leite, gobernador del estado de Rio Grande do Sul, también subrayó la colaboración entre la región y South Summit ante “los tiempos de intensas transformaciones que vivimos”. “South Summit nos proporcionará oportunidades, desafíos y nos colocará en el centro de todos estos debates para estar en la vanguardia”, señaló Leite, a lo que añadió que “Rio Grande do Sul tiene un plan, tiene un futuro y es el de hacer este Estado más fuerte, más resiliente y cada vez más innovador”.
