Pensumo: La APP que convierte la compra en ahorro para la pensión.

Pensumo cuenta ya con 30.000 descargas y más de 4.000 usuarios activos y planea su expansión internacional.

El nombre de Pensumo proviene de la combinación de los términos pensión y consumo. En un mundo donde la jubilación sigue siendo un desafío para la mayoría, Pensumo se presenta como una propuesta innovadora: Transformar el consumo diario en ahorro para el futuro.

Lanzada en octubre de 2024, esta aplicación permite que, por cada compra en comercios adheridos, un porcentaje del importe se destine automáticamente a un plan de pensiones gestionado por Ibercaja Pensiones.

En febrero de 2023, la Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones (DGSFP) dio luz verde a este proyecto. Ibercaja desarrolló la aplicación, mientras que la DGSFP trabajó para que el Consejo de Ministros aprobara la regulación necesaria para incorporar las pensiones por consumo dentro de los planes de pensiones. Esto implica que Pensumo cuenta con todas las características de un plan de pensiones tradicional.

<<Ahorrar cuesta mucho: Solo el 15% de la población tiene un plan de pensiones privado. En cambio, consumir lo hacemos todos los días, y Pensumo convierte las compras de hoy en ahorro futuro>>, explica el director general de Pensumo, David Herrando.

«Esto significa que el usuario puede trasladar su plan de pensiones a otra entidad si lo desea en el futuro. Además, las aportaciones realizadas a través de Pensumo están dentro del límite fiscal de 1.500 euros anuales, el mismo que cualquier otro plan de pensiones privado», añade Herrando. El dinero acumulado se puede recuperar bajo las condiciones establecidas por la ley: En la jubilación o a partir de los diez años desde que se hizo la aportación.

Gratuita y disponible para cualquier ciudadano mayor de 18 años

Desde su lanzamiento, la aplicación ya cuenta con 4.000 usuarios activos. Pensumo es gratuita y está disponible para cualquier ciudadano mayor de 18 años, sin importar su entidad financiera.

«Este modelo representa el recién creado cuarto pilar de nuestro sistema de pensiones, y está abierto a todas las personas que quieran adherirse, sean o no clientes de Ibercaja. En el Sandbox financiero, Pensumo ha sido el primer y único proyecto convertido en realidad, y somos pioneros en España y Europa», explica Herrando.

Las aportaciones que reciben los consumidores provienen de los propios comercios adheridos a la iniciativa. El porcentaje abonado depende del acuerdo alcanzado con cada establecimiento. «El único coste que asumen las empresas es el porcentaje que destinan al plan de pensiones del usuario cuando realiza la compra. Este porcentaje puede variar entre el 1% y el 20% del importe de la compra. Desde la aplicación, el usuario podrá conocer estas condiciones y comprobar cómo sus compras se traducen en ahorro para su jubilación», explica Herrando.

Hasta el momento, 140 empresas se han adherido al sistema. Amazon es uno de los principales participantes y Pensumo también cuenta con el apoyo de la fintech Coinscrap Finance, cuya plataforma de compras online abarca marcas tan prestigiosas como Decathlon, Ikea, Lidl, Fnac, MediaMarkt, Lego, Adidas o Sephora.

«Para los comercios, esta herramienta también supone una ventaja, ya que les ayuda a captar y fidelizar clientes. El 97% de las empresas en España son pymes, muchas de las cuales no tienen la capacidad ni la tecnología para desarrollar herramientas digitales que les permitan ser más visibles. Además, no hay plazos de permanencia, ni tampoco costes de implantación, mensualidades o penalizaciones por salir del sistema», añade Herrando.

Pensumo ha llegado también a un acuerdo con Hostelería de España, lo que permite incorporar bares, restaurantes, alojamientos y hoteles a la plataforma.

Desde su lanzamiento Pensumo ha logrado 30.000 descargas y 4.000 usuarios activos. Su siguiente paso será expandir su modelo a Latinoamérica y Europa. Entre las próximas innovaciones destacan: Click &Plan, para ahorrar en experiencias como ir al cine; Geolocalización, para encontrar comercios adheridos en cualquier ciudad; planes de fidelización en el sector de la hostelería y administraciones locales, como el ayuntamiento de Zaragoza; nuevas funcionalidades en el plan de pensiones, que permitirán a los usuarios realizar aportaciones directas a su plan.

«Estamos en conversaciones con administraciones públicas para incrementar el límite fiscal de las aportaciones, ahora establecido en 1.500 euros anuales. Con el ahorro que se genera en un año, solo se cubren dos meses de jubilación, por lo que es necesario aumentar este tope», explica Herrando.
