Mitsubishi Electric pondrá en marcha estas Navidades una campaña solidaria de recaudación de fondos a favor de la Fundación CRIS contra el Cáncer, con el objetivo de apoyar la investigación científica y el desarrollo de nuevas terapias y tratamientos frente a una enfermedad que ya es la principal causa de muerte en España.
La iniciativa, que se desarrollará del 18 de diciembre al 15 de enero, se enmarca dentro del plan ESG de la compañía, reafirmando su compromiso con la construcción de una sociedad más justa, solidaria y sostenible. Como punto de partida, Mitsubishi Electric apoyará esta campaña destinando el importe equivalente al ahorro generado por la decisión de no realizar la tradicional Felicitación Navideña en papel. Con este gesto, la compañía no solo reduce el impacto ambiental, sino que refuerza el fuerte compromiso con la sostenibilidad y su contribución a una mejor sociedad.
Las donaciones, a la que podrán sumarse de forma voluntaria empleados, clientes y partners, se canalizarán directamente a través de la Fundación CRIS Contra el Cáncer, entidad independiente y sin ánimo de lucro, dedicada a promover e impulsar investigación del cáncer de excelencia a través de las Unidades CRIS, programas, proyectos y becas en hospitales de la Sanidad Pública y centros de referencia a nivel internacional, con el objetivo de aumentar la supervivencia de los pacientes.
“Desde Mitsubishi Electric queremos contribuir de forma activa a la investigación oncológica, apoyando iniciativas que tienen un impacto real en la vida de miles de personas. Esta campaña refleja nuestros valores como compañía y nuestro compromiso con la sociedad”, señala Pedro Ruiz, Presidente de Mitsubishi Electric España.
La Fundación Fundación CRIS Contra el Cáncer, que aúna la voluntad de la sociedad civil que quiere ser parte activa en la cura del cáncer, pone en valor acciones como la de Mitsubishi Electric España y destaca que “este año en España han sido diagnosticadas casi 300.000 personas de cáncer y ante esto, la ciudadanía debe comprometerse. El cáncer es cosa de todos”. Y añade, “somos la Generación CRIS, la generación que curará el cáncer”.
Con esta campaña solidaria, Mitsubishi Electric refuerza su apuesta por integrar la responsabilidad social en su actividad empresarial y por apoyar causas que contribuyen al progreso científico y al bienestar de la sociedad.
