Las startups finalistas de South Summit levantan 1.000 millones en tan solo el primer semestre de este año.

* En sus 14 ediciones, South Summit ha apoyado a más de 42.500 startups, especialmente a través de la Startup Competition, de la que han nacido 9 unicornios y han salido 1.500 startups finalistas con una tasa de supervivencia del 90%.

Solo en el primer semestre de 2025, las startups finalistas de South Summit—coorganizado por IE University — han levantado 1.000 millones de dólares en rondas de financiación, lo que consolida el papel del encuentro como uno de los grandes dinamizadores del ecosistema emprendedor a nivel global.

Desde su creación, la cifra que suman las startups que han pasado por la Startup Competition de South Summit Madrid supera los 19.000 millones de dólares. En sus 14 ediciones, el foro de innovación y emprendimiento ha seleccionado a más de 1.500 proyectos finalistas, con una tasa de supervivencia cercana al 90%. En total, su red de emprendimiento cuenta con más de 42.500 startups de todo el mundo.

Entre los casos más recientes destaca Clickalia, finalista en 2019, que cerró una ronda de 100 millones de euros en abril. También SAMY Road, participante en 2015, ha protagonizado una de las operaciones más destacadas del año tras ser adquirida por 300 millones de euros. A estas startups se suman Shakers, Cafler e Imperia, todas finalistas en 2024, que han levantado 14, 10,5 y 10 millones de euros respectivamente en lo que va de 2025.

Estas cifras no son una excepción dentro del universo South Summit, sino una constante que se repite edición tras edición. El encuentro, que ha visto nacer a 9 unicornios, continúa consolidándose como una plataforma clave para el crecimiento de startups con modelos de negocio escalables, innovadores y con un alto componente tecnológico.

Además, la primera mitad del año ha reflejado la capacidad del ecosistema South Summit para atraer inversión internacional. Dronamics, por ejemplo, ha recibido 30 millones de euros del Fondo Europeo de Innovación y otros socios institucionales europeos. ATLANT 3D ha cerrado una Serie A de 15 millones de dólares liderada por fondos globales especializados en deeptech, mientras que CarbonUpcycling ha recaudado 18 millones de dólares con el respaldo de inversores canadienses y norteamericanos.
