Por ello, resulta imprescindible adecuar los procesos de selección e impulsar culturas laborales más accesibles que protejan el bienestar psicológico de las personas con diagnóstico de salud mental”, ha señalado Montserrat Izaguirre, directora regional de la Fundación Adecco en Euskadi.
Donostia, 8 de octubre de 2025.- En el mes en el que se celebra el Día Mundial de la Salud Mental y gracias al apoyo de Kutxa Fundazioa, la Fundación Adecco está desarrollando Gure Bidaia, un programa de inclusión sociolaboral dirigido a personas con discapacidad psicosocial, es decir por motivos de salud mental
En este marco, la Fundación Adecco ha organizado esta mañana un encuentro empresarial en el Euskal Itsas Museoa – Museo Marítimo Vasco (Donostia – San Sebastián). Un espacio para reflexionar, al que han asistido representantes de empresas, de entidades del tercer sector y personas beneficiarias del programa Gure Bidaia para compartir experiencias y destacar el papel del empleo como clave en el proceso de inclusión social y en la mejora de la calidad de vida de las personas con discapacidad por salud mental.
En la jornada han participado personas expertas en inclusión sociolaboral y atención a la diversidad de la Fundación Adecco; entre ellas, su embajador Javi Martín. El actor y presentador de televisión ha compartido su experiencia personal tras ser diagnosticado con trastorno bipolar, instando a las empresas a apostar por una visión renovada de la discapacidad psicosocial, desterrando prejuicios y estereotipos que habitualmente lastran su plena inclusión.
Montserrat Izaguirre, directora regional de la Fundación Adecco en Euskadi, ha presentado el acto junto a Garbiñe Etxezarreta, directora de Iniciativas de Kutxa Fundazioa.
Izaguirre ha expresado su agradecimiento a los representantes de las empresas asistentes por su implicación en un reto tan acuciante como impulsar el empleo de las personas con discapacidad derivada de un diagnóstico de salud mental. . ““El empleo. cuando se desarrolla en condiciones ambientales, psicológicas y socioeconómicas favorables se convierte en un recurso de gran valor para mejorar la salud mental y favorecer la plena inclusión de las personas con este diagnóstico. No obstante, las barreras aún persisten, tanto en la búsqueda como durante el desempeño. Por ello, resulta imprescindible adecuar los procesos de selección e impulsar culturas laborales más accesibles que protejan el bienestar psicológico de las personas con diagnóstico de salud mental”, ha señalado Montserrat Izaguirre, directora regional de la Fundación Adecco en Euskadi.
Por su parte, Etxezarreta ha subrayado el valor de la colaboración entre entidades como vía para avanzar hacia una Gipuzkoa más justa, culta, creativa y sostenible: “Desde Kutxa Fundazioa tenemos claro nuestro propósito: promover y apoyar iniciativas para contribuir a una Gipuzkoa más justa, culta, creativa y sostenible. Para ello, hemos definido cuatro líneas de trabajo hasta 2030, orientadas a la transformación ecosocial. Pero sabemos que este objetivo no se alcanza en solitario. Por eso, fomentamos la colaboración con múltiples agentes del territorio. En este caso, la colaboración se enmarca en una de las palancas que activamos desde Kutxa Fundazioa: las convocatorias de ayudas, junto con nuestros propios programas y las inversiones en empresas. El proyecto Gure Bidaia 2025 de Fundación Adecco, que promueve la autonomía, la inclusión y la empleabilidad de personas con discapacidad psicosocial, es una de las beneficiarias. Desde Kutxa Fundazioa queremos seguir apoyando estos proyectos. ¿No es esta razón suficiente para seguir colaborando?”.
Discapacidad, salud mental y empleo
Durante la jornada se ha presentado el informe Discapacidad, Salud Mental y Empleo ,desarrollado por el Observatorio de la Vulnerabilidad y el Empleo de la Fundación Adecco, que identifica las barreras que las personas con discapacidad psicosocial encuentran en su itinerario laboral, con propuestas para derribarlas. No en vano, según indica este estudio, “el empleo, cuando se desarrolla en entornos saludables y equilibrados, actúa como un factor de protección de la salud mental, ayuda a prevenir posibles trastornos y ejerce un efecto terapéutico y estabilizador. Así lo percibe el 88% de las personas con discapacidad por motivos de salud mental, quienes destacan que trabajar aporta rutina (72,2%), estabilidad económica (70%), sentimiento de utilidad (59,7%), autoestima (51,1%) y fortalecimiento de las relaciones sociales (35,4%)”.
