Un ahorro de agua de hasta el 70%
La escasez del agua es uno de los grandes desafíos ambientales de la actualidad. Por ello, se busca reducir el consumo sin comprometer la calidad de los servicios y cuidando el bienestar del planeta a través de iniciativas que abarcan desde tecnología hasta formación y concienciación del equipo humano.
Gracias a la implementación del sistema de limpieza Pure Space Office, ISS España ha logrado un ahorro de agua de entre el 50% y el 70%, mediante el uso de productos químicos concentrados y mopas o bayetas de microfibras prehumectadas. Esta metodología evita el uso excesivo de químicos y reduce la necesidad de aclarado adicional, minimizando de manera considerable el consumo de agua y promoviendo un uso más eficiente.
La gestión responsable del agua también se extiende a servicios como mantenimiento (control de grifos, cisternas y sistemas de optimización) y jardinería (programación del riego y adaptación a condiciones climáticas). Además, se han implementado sistemas de notificación rápida de incidencias ante posibles fugas o goteos, junto con un plan de mantenimiento preventivo.
Estrategia de residuo cero
ISS España promueve una estrategia de residuo cero centrada en reducir, reutilizar y reciclar materiales para minimizar el impacto medioambiental. Este enfoque contempla tres pilares: reducir la generación de desechos, eliminando los embalajes innecesarios y los materiales de un solo uso; reutilizar los productos para extender su vida útil; y establecer sistemas de reciclaje eficientes.
Un ejemplo destacado es el uso de productos químicos de limpieza concentrados, compuestos al 100% por materia activa, que se diluyen en las propias instalaciones del cliente mediante agua corriente. Así, de una bolsa de 2,5 litros es posible preparar hasta 300 botellas de solución lista para aplicar en envases reutilizables, eliminando por completo la generación de residuos plásticos asociados al envasado.
Un 34% de vehículos híbridos o eléctricos
Otra de las apuestas de ISS España es la electrificación de procesos para mejorar la sostenibilidad energética. Entre las diferentes medidas aplicadas destaca la electrificación de la flota de vehículos, que cuenta con la Certificación de Flota Ecológica de la AEGFA desde el año 2014 y suma un total de 1.162 vehículos, de los cuales el 34% son híbridos o eléctricos.
La conciencia ambiental como eje de la cultura empresarial
Con el objetivo de involucrar a todos sus placemakers en el proceso de ser más sostenibles, desde ISS España se ha impulsado la creación de un “Mural de Conciencia Ambiental”, una obra que muestra cómo cada pequeña acción cuenta para cuidar el planeta. Esta pieza visual recoge 500 fotografías que ilustran acciones cotidianas que tienen un impacto ambiental positivo y que reflejan el esfuerzo del equipo humano de la empresa para contribuir con el bienestar del planeta.
Cada imagen representa una pequeña acción responsable hacia el entorno natural, como el uso eficiente de energía en los edificios, el reciclaje y la reducción del uso de agua y de productos ecológicos. Asimismo, el mural también destaca cómo la empresa promueve la educación ambiental, con imágenes de talleres, charlas y actividades formativas para sensibilizar tanto a sus colaboradores como a las comunidades cercanas.
