Este galardón, que premia el desarrollo de las industrias más punteras y sólidas de la comunidad autónoma, reconoce el firme compromiso de Galletas Gullón por generar oportunidades, innovación y empleo de calidad; además de desarrollar proyectos sociales, deportivos y culturales, todo ello en su comarca.
Según Paco Hevia, director corporativo de Galletas Gullón y encargado de recoger el galardón, “ este tipo de reconocimientos refleja que nuestra estrategia de desarrollo sostenible y de liderazgo internacional manteniendo el arraigo a nuestra tierra, es una apuesta correcta, justa y fructífera, a tenor de nuestros resultados y expansión internacional”.
En este sentido, Galletas Gullón cerró el ejercicio 2024 con una facturación de más de 697 millones de euros, lo que supone un incremento del 10,6% con respecto al anterior, al mismo tiempo que lograba una reducción del 16% de las emisiones de alcance 3 en los últimos dos años.
Compromiso por el desarrollo económico y social
En Galletas Gullón el desarrollo económico es inherente al social, un aspecto que ha sido especialmente valorado por el jurado de estos premios. De hecho, y tal y como indica su reciente memoria de sostenibilidad, la compañía es ya un referente para el empleo en la Montaña Palentina, con una apuesta firme por el arraigo del talento en el medio rural. Tanto es así que Galletas Gullón supera ya los 2.200 puestos de trabajo directos, con una previsión de alcanzar los 3.000 en 2030, gracias a la puesta en marcha de cinco nuevas líneas de producción. Todo ello sin perder de vista su apuesta internacional, pues sus exportaciones representan ya el 44% del total de sus ventas.
Este galardón también ha querido reconocer las múltiples iniciativas de acción social llevadas a cabo por Galletas Gullón, y que forman de su Plan Director de Negocio Responsable. Por ejemplo, en 2024 ha reforzado su programa de voluntariado corporativo con acciones medioambientales como reforestación, limpieza de entornos naturales y actividades educativas. En los últimos tres años ha donado más de 145.000 kilos de producto a entidades sociales, y ha apoyado eventos culturales y deportivos que fomentan estilos de vida saludables. Entre sus alianzas en materia solidaria destacan colaboraciones con la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer, Bancos de Alimentos, Cruz Roja y Cáritas.
