Madrid, 23 de mayo de 2025.- El Observatorio de Industria y Tecnología, ha entregado su X Premio Impulso de la Industria Conectada, que este año se ha concedido a: Luis Casado, Transformation Office Leader de Moeve Chemicals, en la categoría Liderazgo; y a Diego Borro, catedrático e investigador principal en el Centro Tecnológico CEIT, en la categoría Impacto.
Casado ha presentado a concurso un proyecto de refundación completa de la estructura y procedimientos de la empresa, liderada por una estrategia de creación de nuevos productos químicos sostenibles. Por su parte, Borro ha resultado ganador gracias al desarrollo de un equipo para desmantelar aparatos electrónicos con el fin de recuperar neodimio, un metal habitualmente importado de China que se utiliza para fabricar imanes de alta potencia necesarios para el funcionamiento de multitud de aparatos que utilizamos en nuestro día a día.
Ambos ganadores han sido nombrados Miembros de Mérito del Observatorio de Industria y Tecnología, lo que les va a permitir participar en todos los encuentros públicos y privados que se organizan a lo largo del año. Además, han recibido una dotación económica de 3.000 euros cada uno que han decidido donar a dos organizaciones sin ánimo de lucro: la Fundación Bepro, que da apoyos diversos a deportistas de élite al abandonar en mundo de la competición; y Cooperación Internacional, que impulsa el voluntariado en el entorno universitario.

Durante el encuentro también presentaron sus proyectos otros dos finalistas: Álvaro Echauri, Project Leader & Cluster SSAL en Mondelez International; y Susana Atienza, directora general de la Fundación Arcoíris. Ambos casos plantearon la modernización de sus instalaciones, el proyecto de Echauri a través de una plataforma digital de monitorización de los procesos industriales y el gasto de suministros.
Y, en el caso de Atienza, con nuevas herramientas tecnológicas para la gestión de recursos humanos y la mejor planificación de las líneas de producción, todo con el fin de mejorar la eficiencia y aumentar las posibilidades de contratar a más personas con discapacidad, su principal objetivo.
