El lenguaje inclusivo se ha convertido en una herramienta esencial para promover la igualdad y la inclusión de todas las personas en la sociedad. Más allá de una cuestión lingüística, el lenguaje inclusivo supone un compromiso ético y social. Desde el ámbito institucional hasta el empresarial, las palabras influyen en cómo percibimos la realidad y en la manera en que se reconocen los derechos de las personas.
“El lenguaje no solo transmite información, también refleja valores. Por ello, traducir y comunicar con sensibilidad cultural es una forma de inclusión. Permite conectar con las personas desde la empatía y el entendimiento, no solo desde el idioma”, añade Arancha Caballero, fundadora y CEO de Nuadda Translations, presidenta de ANETI (Asociación Nacional de Empresas de Traducción e Interpretación) y miembro de los comités de lenguaje claro y traducción de la UNE.
Un lenguaje que incluye y representa
El lenguaje inclusivo busca eliminar expresiones que excluyen o invisibilizan. Promueve una comunicación que respete todas las identidades, géneros, capacidades y orígenes. Pero según los expertos, elegir las palabras adecuadas no basta, es necesario comprender los contextos culturales y las experiencias.
En este sentido, el lenguaje claro y la sensibilidad cultural son hoy herramientas complementarias esenciales para asegurar una comunicación accesible, inclusiva y eficaz. Redactar mensajes comprensibles y respetuosos no solo mejora la relación entre instituciones y ciudadanía, sino que también refuerza la confianza, la transparencia y la igualdad de oportunidades.
Retos del lenguaje inclusivo
Las organizaciones y profesionales de la comunicación se enfrentan en la actualidad a varios desafíos clave:
 Equilibrar precisión y claridad. La exactitud lingüística debe ir acompañada de un lenguaje comprensible y accesible para todo tipo de públicos.
 Adaptar los mensajes a las distintas culturas. Lo que resulta adecuado en una cultura puede no serlo en otra, por ello es esencial comprender los contextos locales y las sensibilidades sociales.
 Usar terminología inclusiva y coherente. La elección de palabras debe reflejar respeto, igualdad y representación de todas las personas.

 Evitar sesgos lingüísticos y estereotipos. La revisión con perspectiva de género, diversidad y accesibilidad ayuda a construir mensajes más justos y actuales.
 Aplicar los principios del lenguaje claro. Expresar las ideas de manera precisa, transparente y directa refuerza la confianza y la comprensión.
 Garantizar la accesibilidad comunicativa. Adaptar formatos, soportes y estilos para que los mensajes lleguen a todas las personas, independientemente de su edad, idioma o capacidad.
Si quieres ir un paso más allá, puedes hacer versiones diferentes de tus documentos o página para que nadie se sienta excluido. Además de ser un requisito legal para ciertas empresas y servicios, la accesibilidad posiciona a tu empresa a la vanguardia de la inclusividad.

diferentes normas que establecen los requisitos para los procesos y las competencias de los profesionales vinculados a tareas de traducción, interpretación, gestión de proyectos de traducción o posedición humana de los resultados de la traducción automática.
Miembro de Plain Language (Plain Language Association International), es la Asociación internacional de profesionales que promueve la comunicación clara en cualquier idioma.
