El BEI anuncia un nuevo megafondo durante el Consejo de la Digatlización Europea organizado por Adigital, en Bruselas, en el marco de Spain Digital Week.
- El evento ha sido celebrado, a puerta cerrada, en la Representación Permanente de España ante la Unión Europea ante altos representantes institucionales y empresariales como Nadia Calviño, presidenta del Banco Europeo de Inversiones, Oriol Escalas, embajador representante permanente adjunto de España en la UE, Miguel Gil Tertre, director del gabinete de la vicepresidenta Teresa Ribera, Jesús Carmona, director de medios del Parlamento Europeo o Lorena Boix, directora general adjunta de DG SANTÉ.
- Adigital ha presentado un decálogo con diez medidas clave para fortalecer el ecosistema tecnológico europeo y reforzar la visión española en la agenda digital europea durante el acontecimiento.
- Este encuentro, patrocinado por BBVA, eDreams ODIGEO, Multiverse, Telefónica y Transparent Edge, supone la principal cita y el evento inaugural de Spain Digital Week, para consolidar la voz de España en Europa en la agenda económica y digital.
Bruselas, 14 de octubre de 2025 – Bajo el lema ‘Configurando el futuro digital de Europa desde una perspectiva española, con ambición europea’, Adigital, la Asociación Española de la Economía Digital, ha presentado durante el Consejo Español para la Digitalización Europea, evento insignia e inaugural de Spain Digital Week, un decálogo para promover la agenda digital y económica de la Unión Europea ante personas de alto nivel de instituciones y compañías europeas.
Con la capital europea como escenario y su desarrollo en el centro de representación de España ante la Unión Europea, Adigital ha celebrado el Consejo Español para la Digitalización Europea,a puerta cerrada, con el objetivo de consolidar y establecer diálogos propositivos sobre cómo mejorar la presencia, procesos, posicionamiento y prioridades de política pública de España en la agenda digital de la Unión Europea.
El embajador representante permanente adjunto, Oriol Escalas junto a Nadia Calviño, presidenta del BEI fueron los encargados de dar apertura al evento. Escalas destacó el papel estratégico del ecosistema público y privado español al impulsar la agenda digital europea, y puso como ejemplo el grado de coordinación y de coherencia en la visión española para una agenda regulatoria, de políticas públicas y de competitividad económica en el ámbito digital durante la presidencia española del Consejo de la Unión Europea.
Por su parte, Nadia Calviño señaló que ”España tiene un papel clave en el posicionamiento de Europa como una potencia tecnológica. El rápido cambio tecnológico exige un gran volumen de inversión en innovación e infraestructuras y las empresas no siempre cuentan con los instrumentos para movilizar inversiones privadas y crecer; de ahí, la importancia de generar tales instrumentos para permitir que las ideas escalen, que las empresas tomen riesgos e innoven para desplegar su potencial”. En ese sentido, la presidenta informó sobre “el lanzamiento de la plataforma TechEU a través de la que el BEI movilizará 250.000 millones de euros hasta 2027 para cubrir todo el ciclo empresarial y cadena de valor. Así como de la preparación de la segunda fase de European Tech Champions Initiative, un fondo paneuropeo donde participa España con más de 12 megafondos y que tiene previsto ampliar.”
Durante el encuentro se destacaron las ‘tres p’ que deberían guiar la acción española: presencia, para reforzar la imagen y liderazgo de España; posicionamiento y procesos, para aumentar la influencia en la elaboración de políticas comunitarias; y prioridades políticas, que determinan los sectores estratégicos donde el ecosistema español busca protagonismo e influencia.
“Con la presentación de este decálogo ante los principales líderes europeos, España alza la voz para situarse en el centro de la conversación sobre transformación digital del continente. Desde Adigital, reivindicamos el papel de nuestro país como motor de cambio, con la ambición y la capacidad necesarias para influir en las decisiones que marcarán el futuro tecnológico de Europa. España no viene solo a participar: viene a liderar, a proponer y a demostrar que su ecosistema digital está preparado para impulsar una Europa más soberana, innovadora y competitiva en el escenario global. Desde Adigital, somos la única patronal empresarial del sector digital en impulsar una Oficina ante la UE y en abrir este espacio de conversación con líderes europeos”, explica Raquel Jorge, directora de Asuntos Europeos y de la oficina en Bruselas de Adigital.
En esta línea, el decálogo, elaborado por Adigital, expone propuestas equilibradas, realistas y orientadas al futuro para impulsar a los campeones tecnológicos europeos, favorecer una política de competencia equilibrada, facilitar la movilización de inversiones y simplificar la regulación, manteniendo al mismo tiempo la cooperación internacional.
Centrado en la combinación de ambición tecnológica, innovación y viabilidad económica, el decálogo subraya la necesidad de equilibrar la política de competencia con la escalabilidad de las empresas estratégicas, al tiempo que garantiza oportunidades para las pymes. Asimismo, el documento propone consolidar el liderazgo en inteligencia artificial, semiconductores y computación cuántica, y sitúa la ciberseguridad y la conectividad como pilar central de la competitividad digital europea.
Otro de los puntos en los que incide es en la necesidad de fomentar que startups y pymes puedan crecer hasta convertirse en líderes europeos mediante incentivos fiscales, financiación transfronteriza y simplificación de procesos. Además, también destaca la importancia de simplificar la regulación e impulsar un mercado único digital más ágil y eficiente, un ámbito en el que Adigital ya ha presentado una propuesta pionera que reduce duplicidades, mejora la interoperabilidad y refuerza la competitividad del ecosistema europeo.
El decálogo también contempla alianzas tecnológicas internacionales y la expansión del Laboratorio Europeo de Competitividad, impulsado por la Administración Pública española, plataformas para coordinar iniciativas transfronterizas y garantizar resultados medibles. Con ello, el ecosistema español se consolida como un actor estratégico capaz de contribuir de manera tangible al liderazgo digital y económico de Europa.
A través de estos diez objetivos presentados por el decálogo Adigital, reafirma el compromiso del país con una economía digital europea más competitiva, innovadora y conectada, que ayude a convertir España en un hub digital de referencia en Europa y como puente estratégico hacia Latinoamérica. El documento ha sido presentado en la Spain Digital Week, evento que ha contado con el apoyo de BBVA, eDreams ODIGEO, Multiverse, Telefónica y Transparent Edge.
