Luis Miguel Gilpérez, nuevo presidente del Consejo de Administración de Celling 5G.

 El que fuera presidente de Telefónica España entre 2011 y 2018, tras más de cuatro décadas de trayectoria en la compañía, asume la Presidencia del Consejo de Administración de Celling 5G.

 Ingeniero industrial y máster en planificación y administración de empresas, ha dedicado la mayor parte de su carrera profesional al desarrollo y liderazgo dentro de Telefónica, consolidando una experiencia de referencia en el sector de las telecomunicaciones.

Celling 5G, empresa innovadora de infraestructuras de telecomunicaciones, ha nombrado presidente del Consejo de Administración a Luis Miguel Gilpérez, el que fuese presidente de Telefónica España de 2011 a 2018.

Ingeniero industrial y máster de planificación y administración de empresas, ha desarrollado la inmensa mayoría de sus más de 40 años de carrera profesional en Telefónica. Sobre todo en actividades relacionadas con la telefonía móvil, como responsable del área de Negocio Móvil en la división latinoamericana de la compañía y, posteriormente, como consejero delegado de Telefónica en Brasil.

Entre los hitos que le han dado mayor reconocimiento se pueden enumerar los siguientes: la eliminación del subsidio en los terminales móviles; el lanzamiento del primer producto convergente para cubrir todas las necesidades de comunicación del hogar (Movistar Fusión); o el plan de despliegue de fibra óptica que ha convertido a España en uno de los países más avanzados del mundo en redes de ultrabanda ancha rápida.

Ahora, con Celling 5G, abandera un proyecto innovador y pionero para el despliegue masivo de 5G a través de un sistema patentado: un método de conexión de small cells en elementos publicitarios, que llevan en su interior los equipos radioeléctricos necesarios para lograr este objetivo. Así Celling 5G contribuye de manera activa a transformar las ciudades en Smart cities sin impactar en el paisaje urbano que disfrutamos ahora.
