Konecta abre una nueva sede en Nuevo Cairo con una inversión casi de 100 millones de dólares.
El Grupo firma con ITIDA un Memorando de Entendimiento (MoU)
● La apertura del nuevo centro de operaciones dará servicio a los mercados de Oriente Medio, África, Europa y América.
● La nueva sede será un centro de referencia para la compañía especializado en IA Generativa y estará alimentado por el conocimiento transferido desde Silicon Valley y Europa.
● Konecta tiene como objetivo crear 3.000 puestos de trabajo en áreas de externalización, servicios de contact center, soporte técnico, Inteligencia Artificial, ciberseguridad, analítica de datos y software.
Madrid, 9 de enero de 2025. Konecta, líder global en experiencia de cliente y servicios digitales, y la Agencia para el Desarrollo de la Industria de las Tecnologías de la Información (ITIDA) han firmado hoy un Memorando de Entendimiento, acto presidido por el Primer Ministro de Egipto, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, que supondrá la apertura de un nuevo centro de operaciones de Konecta en Nuevo Cairo, donde prestará servicio a los mercados de Oriente Medio, África, Europa y América.
Con esta nueva apertura, Konecta tiene previsto invertir casi 100 millones de dólares en los próximos tres años y contratar alrededor de 3.000 profesionales para ofrecer servicios digitales, incluyendo soluciones de IA, transformación digital, ciberseguridad, big data y analítica, software, soporte técnico y servicios multilingües de atención al cliente en inglés, francés, alemán, italiano y español. Asimismo, la nueva sede será el primer centro de excelencia global especializado en GenAI de Konecta, transfiriendo todos los conocimientos y experiencia del Grupo.
Dentro del Memorando de Entendimiento, también se reflejan los planes de colaboración conjunta, incluidos los programas de formación especializada con ITIDA y universidades egipcias para mejorar las capacidades y la competitividad global de la fuerza laboral de Egipto. Como previsión, se espera que esta alianza impulse las exportaciones de tecnologías de la información y la comunicación de Egipto a los mercados internacionales.
Por su parte, Nourdine Bihmane, CEO del Grupo Konecta, explica que “esta unión estratégica con ITIDA subraya nuestro compromiso con la innovación y el apoyo para el crecimiento en Oriente Medio y África. Al establecer nuestra sede regional en Egipto, buscamos aprovechar la excepcional fuerza laboral del país para ofrecer soluciones digitales de vanguardia e impulsar una mano de obra altamente cualificada que trazará el futuro de la experiencia del cliente a nivel mundial”.
Asimismo, Ahmed El Harany, Director General de Konecta para Oriente Medio y África, detalla que “la elección de Egipto como sede regional para nuestras operaciones se debe a sus ventajas competitivas, concretamente, su mano de obra altamente cualificada y su avanzada infraestructura digital. Estamos seguros de que esta alianza será un éxito significativo”.
Además, el Ing. Ahmed El Zaher, Director General de ITIDA, resaltó: “Esta asociación significa un gran paso en el avance del sector tecnológico de Egipto y refleja el creciente interés de las principales empresas internacionales por el talento egipcio. Si bien es cierto que creará múltiples oportunidades de empleo en ámbitos como la externalización de procesos empresariales, los servicios de TI y la I+D en ingeniería, ITIDA se compromete a facilitar un entorno favorable que apoye la expansión de los centros de servicios globales y atraiga nuevas inversiones en el sector de la externalización”.
Por último, Dr. Amr Talaat, ministro de Comunicaciones y Tecnología de la Información de Egipto, afirma que “el crecimiento del sector de BPO, así como el creciente interés de las empresas internacionales por establecer centros de operaciones en Egipto para exportar servicios digitales avanzados, muestra la competitividad del país en este campo tan prometedor, pues ofrece servicios digitales eficientes en varios idiomas. Además, el gobierno se compromete a fomentar un entorno favorable para los negocios de esta industria y a proporcionar el apoyo necesario para formar al talento egipcio con habilidades acordes a los inminentes avances tecnológicos”. Además, destaca que “la decisión de Konecta de ampliar sus operaciones en Egipto creará nuevas oportunidades de empleo e impulsará el talento joven para satisfacer la creciente demanda de servicios de externalización en los mercados europeo, estadounidense y de Oriente Medio”.
