Hack4edu 2025: un impulso al uso ético y social de la IA en educación.
- La 6.ª edición de #Hack4edu reunirá a más de 800 participantes del todo el mundo en una iniciativa impulsada por Fundación Telefónica y la Fundación ”la Caixa” -a través de su proyecto ProFuturo-, junto con la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA) y la Red de Cátedras Telefónica.
- Esta edición incorpora por primera vez la participación de universidades europeas con un objetivo común: impulsar la cooperación, la innovación y la ética, para promover la transformación social a través de retos tecnológicos en educación.
- Los ganadores de la edición de 2025 se darán a conocer en una ceremonia en directo en streaming para toda la comunidad internacional el próximo 31 de octubre de 2025.
Salamanca. octubre 2025.La 6.ª edición del mayor hackatón con propósito social dedicado a la educación digital arrancó ayer con una mirada internacional. Por primera vez, incorpora universidades europeas para impulsar el talento digital y fomentar el uso ético de la tecnología y la inteligencia artificial en la educación, promoviendo así la transformación social a través de retos tecnológicos.
Impulsado por Fundación Telefónica y Fundación ”la Caixa”, a través de su proyecto ProFuturo, junto con la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA) y la Red de Cátedras Telefónica, #Hack4Edu se celebra en formato híbrido del 24 al 31 de octubre de 2025, con más de 800 jóvenes de todo el mundo. La iniciativa plantea retos tecnológicos educativos para generar soluciones inclusivas, sostenibles y escalables, conectando actores clave y transformando desafíos en prototipos que reducen la brecha digital y mejoran el aprendizaje.
El Aula Magna de la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA) ha acogido hoy la presentación del hackatón internacional en un acto que ha subrayado la colaboración entre universidad, administraciones y empresa para transformar la educación con tecnología y evidencia.
Tras la bienvenida del Rector de la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Santiago García-Jalón de la Lama, ha abierto el acto Ana Mª Fermoso García, Vicerrectora de Investigación y Transferencia (UPSA), quien ha destacado que, “eventos como #Hack4edu, ratifican el compromiso de la Universidad con la innovación, la investigación y el emprendimiento, potenciándolo tanto en sus investigaciones, como en los propios estudiantes”. Igualmente, Fermoso ha puesto en valor el hackatón internacional como una oportunidad de poner a disposición la tecnología al servicio de las personas que más lo necesitan. “Esta iniciativa refuerza nuestro compromiso social e identitario, además de resultar un magnífico escaparate para darnos a conocer a nivel internacional, al haberse convertido en el evento más importante de esta categoría a nivel educativo”, ha afirmado.
A continuación, Luis Enrique Ortega Arnaiz, Viceconsejero de Transformación Digital de la Junta de Castilla y León, ha destacado en su discurso que: “La inteligencia artificial nos ofrece hoy herramientas para adaptar los procesos de aprendizaje a las capacidades, ritmos y necesidades de cada persona. Puede ayudarnos a detectar dificultades antes de que se conviertan en barreras, a proponer itinerarios de aprendizaje más justos y a liberar tiempo para que los docentes se centren en lo más importante: acompañar, motivar y guiar. Pero esta revolución debe construirse desde una mirada ética y humanista. No basta con que la IA sea eficaz; debe ser también justa, inclusiva y transparente”.
Por su parte, Manuel José Ruiz García, Gerente de Big Data, IA y TI de ProFuturo, ha subrayado la cooperación y el impacto educativo: “Con Hack4Edu conectamos el talento internacional para impulsar la innovación, la ética y la transformación social mediante retos tecnológicos aplicados a la educación. Este año, además, hemos ampliado la participación de universidades europeas para fomentar la colaboración y la innovación educativa con tecnología en nuestro continente.”
Seguidamente, Javier Alonso Sánchez, Director Autonómico en Castilla y León de Telefónica España, ha puesto el acento en la infraestructura tecnológica y la ciberseguridad como palancas de igualdad: “Hack4Edu representa lo mejor de la tecnología cuando se pone al servicio de las personas y es una muestra de cómo la colaboración entre universidad, empresa y administración puede transformar la educación”. “Nos enorgullece ver cómo la Red de Cátedras Telefónica sigue creciendo, ampliando su alcance y reforzando el espíritu de cooperación internacional que nace del talento, la ética y el compromiso social”.
Por último, el Coorganizador de #Hack4edu y Director de la Cátedra Telefónica UPSA, Manuel Martín-Merino, ha recordado que, “este proyecto es el más importante en el ámbito de la educación, que fomenta la innovación y la transferencia tecnológica de los estudiantes universitarios, con el fin de resolver los retos que plantea la educación digital en regiones desfavorecidas”. En esta línea, el director ha destacado el carácter multidisciplinar e internacional de #Hack4edu con un fin social común. “Junto a la participación de universidades del continente americano, se han sumado hacker de regiones tan diversas como Ucrania, Portugal y Bosnia”, ha concluido.
