3 startups españolas entre las 20 finalistas de South Summit Korea 2025 que competirán por ser el mejor proyecto de Deep Tech e IA.
Madrid, 8 de septiembre de 2025.South Summit Korea 2025 ,co-organizado por IE University en colaboración con el Gobierno de Gyeonggi, GBSA (Gyenggido Business & Science Accelerator) y Unimotto, celebrará su segunda edición del 1 al 2 de octubre en el Centro de Convenciones de la ciudad surcoreana de Suwon (provincia de Gyeonggi). Esta edición ya cuenta con las 20 startups finalistas de su Startup Competition, procedentes de 12 países distintos (uno más que en la edición del año pasado), que competirán por coronarse como la mejor startup en los campos del Deep Tech y la Inteligencia Artificial.
Con tres proyectos finalistas en la competición, España se consolida como el segundo país con más presencia en South Summit Korea 2025, solo superada por Corea del Sur. Desde el País Vasco, Alias Robotics ,se dedica al desarrollo de sistemas de ciberseguridad para proteger a robots y sistemas automatizados de ciberataques. Por su parte, la startup murciana A4Radar ha creado un radar de mantenimiento predictivo sin contacto para subestaciones eléctricas, que permite prevenir fallos y alargar la vida útil de los activos. La representación española de este año en ·South Summit Korea 25 la cierra la startup gallega Kreios, que está desarrollando el primer sistema de propulsión eléctrica sin combustible para satélites y que utiliza gases atmosféricos como propulsor.
Las otras 16 finalistas son: Pix Force (Brasil), Hera Materials (Chile), Ochy (Francia), Aima Labs, (Grecia), Infloso AI (India), Capex (Japón), OmniShelf (Singapur), MoCon (Corea del Sur), HISTRANGER (Corea del Sur), SSenStone (Corea del Sur), Digitalog Technologies (Corea del Sur), IDEATION (Corea del Sur), Link Robotics (Turquía), SignForDeaf (Turquía), Mantis-AI (Reino Unido), cheqd (Reino Unido) y Noxi (Estados Unidos).
Las startups seleccionadas han superado un riguroso proceso de evaluación entre más de 430 candidaturas de 60 países, lo que pone de relieve la proyección internacional del encuentro. De los 20 proyectos finalistas, 7 ya están generando beneficios y 8 se encuentran en fase de crecimiento. Además, 11 startups han captado más de un millón de dólares en inversión y 9 superan los 500.000 dólares de facturación, de las cuales 6 rebasan el millón.
La elección ha estado en manos de un comité de inversores y expertos en Deep Tech e IA, que ha valorado factores como la innovación en las propuestas, su potencial de crecimiento y escalado, la atracción para inversores y el talento de sus equipos.
La experiencia de la edición anterior confirma el impacto de esta cita en el ecosistema emprendedor. En 2024, las startups galardonadas fueron la coreana Dtonic , ganadora global por su trabajo en IA e infraestructuras de datos; Norma (Corea del Sur), como la startup Más Disruptiva; Aqarios (Alemania), que obtuvo el premio al Mejor Equipo; VSL Labs (Israel), reconocida como la Más Sostenible, y Tumi Robotics (Perú), que se alzó con el galardón a la startup Más Escalable. Además de visibilidad internacional, su paso por South Summit Korea les brindó conexiones estratégicas con inversores y actores clave del ecosistema.
En la edición de este año, el programa de #SouthSummitKorea25 volverá a reunir a los principales referentes del Deep Tech y la Inteligencia Artificial, que compartirán su visión sobre el futuro de estas industrias. Más de 50 ponentes internacionales —entre ellos destacados fundadores de startups y scaleups, representantes de fondos de inversión y líderes del ecosistema global— participarán en una agenda que pondrá el foco en el desarrollo de estas tecnologías y en el fortalecimiento de las conexiones con el ecosistema emprendedor asiático.
